Veteran freedom fighter passes away

Veteran freedom fighter Bakhtawar Singh passed away today at his native village in Haryana's Kaithal district.

He was 97.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda condoled Singh's death, and described him as a great personality who played a vital role in country's struggle for freedom.

The Chief Minister, in his message, said Singh will be remembered for his selfless service to the society.
