: Irked by his wife berating him for his addiction to liquor, a government veterinary doctor has allegedly committed suicide at a lodge here.
Police said that his wife, an assistant professor in the government arts college here, had told him he need not come home if he continued his habit. The 39-year-old man then left in a huff and stayed in a lodge.
Yesterday his wife tried contacting him on his cellphone, but did not get a response. She then made enquiries, went to the lodge and found him hanging in his room.
The couple have two minor children, aged nine and six.
