On his second day in office, President Ram Nath Kovind today had a busy schedule with a large number of people, including Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah calling on him.
Besides them, Governor of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh P B Acharya, Governor of Uttarakhand K K Paul, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh called on the President, Rashtrapati Bhawan said in a series of tweets.
C R Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution also called on Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan, it said.

Kovind assumed office as 14th President of the country yesterday.
The President also telephoned Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and offered condolences on demise of his mother.
He also condoled deaths due to heavy rains and floods in Assam.
"Nation condoles deaths due to heavy rains & floods in Assam, Gujarat, Rajasthan & other states. Stands by families affected," said Kovind.
