The CB-CID, which is probing the Vicky Tyagi murder case, has given clean chit to seven accused, including three police men.

SP CB-CID K Angel said clean chit has been given to seven persons -- Deputy SP Anuj Kumar, Inspector Sachin Malik Constable Vikas Kumar, Ramvir, Birijbir, Rajvir and Sonia.

Police had registered an FIR under IPC sections 147 (punishment for rioting), 504 (insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 302 (murder) and 120b (criminal conspiracy) in the case.

Angel said arrest warrants have been issued against Ranjanvir, Virendra, Saurabh Malik, Vikas, Shahnazar, Pintu Baliyan and Saeed Mullah.

Tyagi, a gangster, was gunned down by a shooter during a court hearing in another case here on February 16, 2015.

An alleged shooter, Sagar, was arrested from the spot, while Brijbir was nabbed the next day.

The Uttar Pradesh government had handed the investigation into the murder case from local police to the CB-CID in November last year.
