Victim of hit and run case involving former mayor's car dies

: A mill worker, who was seriously injured in a hit and run incident involving the personal car of former Mayor S M Velusamy succumbed to injuries at a private hospital, police said today.

Chandrasekhar (31) was hit by the car around midnight on May 27 near Palladam in Tirupur District while he was riding a motorcycle.The vehicle driver was arrested based after public confirmed that the car belonged to Velusamy

Chandrasekhar passed away at around 2100 hrs last night, police said, adding the body was later handed over to his family after post-mortem.
