Online video streaming platform Dekkho has tied up with Sony Music for premium video content.
The platform will have access to Sony Music's catalogue of over 80,000 music videos. Additionally, Dekkho and Sony Music will collaborate to produce music videos, which will first appear on the video streaming platform, according to a statement here.
"Music is the most viral and retentive category of premium video in India. Our partnership with Sony Music gives us an excellent opportunity to not only meet growing demand for high-quality content, but also to collaborate on identifying and nurturing top talent in the community.
"With our novel approach to content provision and Sony Music's production strength, we are confident that digital- first viewers in India will make Dekkho their favourite destination for online video," Dekkho Co-founder Tanay Desai said.
Sony Music Entertainment Director Digital Business Hari Nair said, "we are happy to partner with an exciting new OTT video service Dekkho. We will power their service with our vast library of Bollywood, Regional and International music videos.
