Vigilance & Enforcement Officer caught taking Rs 1 lakh bribe

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today caught a Regional Vigilance and Enforcement Officer in Nalgonda district of Telangana while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.

The officer, V Bhaskar Rao, had sought the bribe from a person for doing an official favour, the anti-graft agency said.

Rao was caught by the ACB officials at his residence in Nalgonda while allegedly accepting the bribe amount of Rs 1 lakh from the complainant, the agency said in a release.
