Vijay Diwas observed in Mizoram

Vijay Diwas or Victory Day was observed in Aizawl with dignitaries laying wreaths at the War Memorial in Aizawl's Treasury Square this morning.

Those who paid tributes to the fallen heores included Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla, state assembly speaker Hiphei, two parliamentary secretaries, chief secretary Lalmalsawma and DGP Dharmendra Kumar.

The day was observed to commemorate India's victory in the Indo-Pakistan War in 1971.
