Village head shot dead

some persons in Dhata area here, police said today.

Pradeep Kumar (35), village head of Govindpur, was shot dead by Jaychandra while he was overseeing construction work being done under MNREGA last evening, they said.

Police said that body has been sent for post-mortem and efforts were being made to arrest the accused.
