Village headman shot dead

A village headman was shot dead by three motorcycle-borne youths in Chandwak area here, police said today.

Chitko village's head Virendra Kumar Rajbhar (45) was fatally shot by the three assailants yesterday evening, a police officer said.

A probe into the matter has been in initiated, he said, adding that no arrests have been made so far.

The body of the deceased has been sent for postmortem.
