Village pradhan's husband attacked

The husband of a village pradhan was seriously injured when three persons opened fired on him near Khanpur Tiraha area here.

Mohan Singh, 47, husband of the pradhan of Nagla, Rama Devi, was returning home yesterday after withdrawing cash when he was attacked by three men, police said.

He has been admitted to a hospital in serious condition, SP Arun Kumar Singh said adding a man who blocked Singh's car during the attack has been taken into custody.
