Villager injured in attack by leopard

A villager was injured in an alleged attack by a leopard in Murtiah range, forest department officers said here today.

Nakched (35) was attacked and injured by a leopard when he had gone to the field in connection with some work in Murtiah range yesterday, they said.

The victim who sustained serious injuries had been admitted to the district hospital.

A financial assistance of Rs 5,000 has been given by the forest department for his treatment, they added.
