Alleging inaction on part of the electricity department, the protesters from Ikkas village blocked the traffic for about two hours, causing inconvenience to commuters.
They, however, agreed to lift the blockade after being pacified by local SHO Surendra Mor and other officials.
Power Department SDO Shamsher Singh said he was hopeful that electricity supply will be restored in the village soon.
