Visitors banned in airport

Hours after a terrorist attack on an Air Force base in Punjab, Chennai airport authorities here today said visitors will not be allowed to enter the international arrival and departure area for eight days.

Entry of visitors will be banned into the arrival and departure lounges of the airport for eight days effective from today, airport officials said.

Security preparedness is being taken care of by Central and State agencies, officials added.
