Walking Dead companion series titled 'Fear the Walking Dead'

"Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman has confirmed the title of the show's companion series is "Fear the Walking Dead".

The new version is scheduled to debut in late summer with a six episode first season, and season 2 airing in 2016, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"IT'S OFFICIAL! The walking dead companion show on AMC is called FEAR THE WALKING DEAD! Expect more news very soon! #FearTheWalkingDead," Kirkman tweeted.

The new show will take place in Los Angeles and stars Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, and Alycia Debnam.
