Mentha oil prices fell by another 0.50 per cent to Rs 934.50 per kg in futures trading today as speculators engaged in reducing positions amidst low demand from consuming industries.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in current month shed Rs 4.70, or 0.50 per cent, to Rs 934.50 per kg in a business turnover of 132 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in March month traded lower by Rs 4, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 945.50 per kg in 194 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators on muted demand from consuming industries in spot market against higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh kept pressure on mentha oil prices at futures trade.
