Wanted criminal arrested from Ghaziabad

A wanted criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head was arrested in a joint operation by Ghaziabad police and Noida Special Task Force (STF) from Swarnjayanti Puram area here.

Devendra Siroha alias Debu was allegedly involved in a loot of Rs 25 lakh from an ICICI bank branch, SHO Kavi Nagar Ashok Shishodia said.

A terminated Delhi Police constable, Debu was wanted in more than 18 cases of loot, dacoity at various police stations of NCR region.

A .32 caliber pistol and eight live cartridges were recovered from his possession.

Police is tracing his criminal history in other states also, the officer said.
