Wanted criminal arrested in Muzaffarnagar

A criminal carrying a reward of Rs one lakh was arrested following an encounter in Khatoli town here Saturday morning, police said.

Circle Officer Rajiv Kumar Singh said Akram was arrested by the STF with the help of the local police at the Budhana Tiraha here following an encounter and one pistol and cartridges were seized from his possession.

He was wanted in 22 cases, including of loot and attempt to murder, the CO said, adding the police were interrogating him.
