Ward boy found dead with throat slit

Body of a 32-year-old ward boy with his throat slit was today found in the premises of Divisional hospital here, police said.

The victim has been identified as Jang Bahadur, a resident of Varanasi, who was working as a ward boy in the hospital, they said.

Police also recovered bottles of alcohol, cigarettes and some eatables from the spot.

The body has been sent for postmortem, they said, adding an FIR has been registered and further investigations are underway.
