'Clueless' star Brittany Murphy and her husband may have died of poisoning, according to a new lab report that her father Angelo Bertolotti financed.
Bertolotti has long suspected that his daughter was poisoned though the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office had concluded that the actress and husband Simon Monjack died of natural causes - pneumonia and anemia - five months apart, reported the Wrap.
Bertolotti had sued to gain access to her hair samples, and hired Seilheimer's private lab, the Carlson Company, to look for signs of poisoning.

"If we were to eliminate the possibility of a simultaneous accidental heavy metals exposure to the sample donor then the only logical explanation would be an exposure to these metals (toxins) administered by a third party perpetrator with likely criminal intent," stated the new lab report.
Murphy died in 2009 at the age of 32. She collapsed inside the bathroom in her house and was declared dead on her arrival to the medical centre.
According to New York Daily News, Bertolotti wants her case to be reopened.
"The lab has shown that she was poisoned with criminal intent. We would like the investigation opened again to discover who did it. So as not to jeopardise the new investigation, I can't say who I suspect as of yet," said Bertolotti.
