The West Bengal education department was planning a guideline for awareness among women against atrocities on them, Education Bratya Basu said today.
Basu indicated that such guidelines might find their way into school education in the state.
Speaking to reporters at the state secretariat, he said that there was not much the education department could do against atrocities on women, but the government was trying to give more space to awareness.
He did not, however, elaborate while giving his reaction to the rape of a tribal girl on the orders of a kangaroo court in Birbhum district on January 21.
