Weather remains dry in HP

The mercury rose marginally in most parts of Himachal Pradesh as weather remained dry and Una was the hottest in the region with a high of 27.2 degrees Celcius.

Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded a high of 26.0 degrees Celsius, followed by Nahan and Solan at 23.5 degrees Celsius.

Shimla, Kalpa, Manali and Keylong recorded the maximum temperatures of 18.4, 15.6, 15.4 and 5.1 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperatures also rose by few notches and Keylong was the coldest with a low of minus 6.0 degrees Celsius, followed by Kalpa, Manali, Bhuntar, Shimla and Sundernagar.

The local MeT office has predicted rains or snow in mid and higher hills and rains and thundershowers in lower hills on March 1 and 2 as another fresh western disturbance would affect the Himalayan region from March 1 onwards.
