Western Army commander reviews security scenario

The General officer commanding in Chief of the Chandimadir-based Western Command of the army Lt Gen K J Singh today reviewed the security scenario and the operational preparedness of the forces, a defense spokesman said.

Gen Singh who was on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir today visited various field formations under the Jammu-based Tiger infantry division where he was briefed by the field commanders.

"The army commander today visited various formations under the Tiger infantry division where he was briefed by the formation commanders on the security scenario and the operational preparedness of the forces," the spokesman said.
