The White House has briefed India on the summit meeting between US President Barack Obama and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, which was held recently in California.
The briefing given to Indian officials by a senior administration official from the National Security Council of White House is part of the Obama Administration's policy to give summit details to key American allies and partners.
Obama himself called Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and South Korean President Park Geun-hye on the summit.
In case of other countries, including India, the briefing was done by the National Security Staff, officials said.
