Wife along with paramour murders her husband

Police today claimed to have solved the murder case of a tantrik (sorcerer) with the arrest of his wife and her paramour this evening.

Kamar Shamsher Singh, a tantrik, was found murdered in his house on February 6 and a case was registered against three unidentified persons on the statement of his brother, Ranjit Singh, Batala SSP Diljinder Singh Dhillon said.

The SSP said during investigation, it was found that his wife, Kulwinder Kaur, and her paramour, Harpal Singh, murdered him, police said.

They said she confessed to killing Kamar as he used to abuse her, police said.

An iron rod used in the crime was also recovered, the SSP said, adding the accused have been booked for murder.
