Wild bear attacks villager in J-K

A man was critically injured in an attack by a bear outside his home in Baramulla district of north Kashmir today, police said.

Mohammad Lateef Khan was attacked by a wild bear soon after he came out of his house at village Binner-Kawdara, 60 kms from here, a police spokesman said.

He said the beast had ventured into the village from nearby forests and returned to the wild after the local villagers came out on hearing the cries of Khan who was shifted to hospital.
