Wild bear killed

A wild bear died at Jangma village under Digapaandi forest range limit when it was caught in a trap.

Forest officials recovered the carcass of the adult male bear and sent it for post-mortem.

The trap was apparently installed by unidentified persons to hunt wild boar and the bear got trapped in it yesterday, Divisional Forest Officer, Berhampur, S S Mishra said.
