A man, who is part of a gang involved in smuggling of forest goods and wildlife, was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) from Bahraich district, official sources said here.
Tejpal Maurya was arrested on a tip off yesterday by the team of STF and a forest officer from Nishangarh range in Katarnia Ghat sanctuary, they said.
During interrogation, he confessed to involvement in killing wild animals and smuggling them to other districts.
