Members of Lahore Lions, the only Pakistani team featuring in the inaugural World Kabaddi League (WKL), today went out for a brief sight seeing trip of the national capital, which started with a visit to the famous Bangla Sahib Guruduwara.
Apart from the Bangla Sahib Guruduwara, the tour itinerary of the team from across the border also included a visit to the historic India Gate and two malls -- DLF Promenade and Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj.
During their visit to the Bangla Sahib Guruduwara, the members of Lahore Lions, who are atop the standings along with Khalsa Warriors with two wins out of as many matches, prayed for their success in the first edition of the cash-rich league.
"We are so far satisfied with our performance. Two out of two is a good result. We prayed at the Guruduwara to give us strength to emerge as the champions in WKL," Lahore Lions skipper Babar Wasim Gujjar said.
Babar said despite ongoing tensions at the border, they have so far received warm welcome in India. He also hoped for the resumption of bilateral sporting ties between the two countries.
"We have received very good treament in India. The hospitality of Indian public so far has been wonderful. We never felt like away from home," he said.
The two table toppers Lahore Lions and Khalsa Warriors will face each other in their next encounter in Mumbai on August 30.
