Woman, 5-yr-old son murdered, suspect held

A woman and her five-year-old son were found murdered inside their house at South Khawlek village in southern Mizoram's Lunglei district this morning.

The Police said Suilianmawii and her five-year-old son were murdered at around 10 PM last night and the suspect Isaak Lalremruata was detained by the locals and was later arrested.

The Police did not rule out the possibility of Suilianmawii being murdered after being raped.

Suilianmawii's husband Cheuva was away from home when the incident happened.
