Woman and her two kids dead due to snake bite

A woman and her two children died today due to snake bite in a village in Bihar's Darbhanga district, a police officer said.

The incident took place in Nirmaithi village as a venomous snake bit the 30 year-old woman Phuldai Devi (30) and her two children, Anchal Kumari (6) and Sujit Mandal (4) in the wee hours while they were asleep in their house, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Anjani Kumar Singh said.

They died on way to hospital, the officer said adding the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
