Woman burnt alive for dowry in UP

A 23-year-old woman was today allegedly burnt alive by her in-laws for dowry in Valipur Dahia village here, police said.

Following a compliant by the victim Sonu's family, an FIR was registered and her father-in-law Chhoti Yadav arrested.

The husband Sanjay Yadav and other family members are absconding.

Body of the victim has been sent for postmortem, police said, adding that a probe is on in the matter.
