A 27-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide today after killing her two children in southwest Delhi's Jafarpur Kalan area.
The incident came to light this evening when the bodies of Sadhna and her two children -- five-year-old son and three-year-old daughter -- were spotted hanging from a ceiling fan by a neighbour around 7 pm who then informed the police, the woman's husband and other family members.
The victim's family has revealed that the woman was suffering from depression.
The police recovered a suicide note in which the woman said that she was responsible for the extreme step.
"However, the exact cause behind the extreme step is not mentioned in the note," a police official said.
The bodies have been sent to a government hospital for post-mortem, he added.
The woman's husband, who is a taxi driver, was not at home when the incident took place. The couple got married eight years back.
