Woman commits suicide along with three minor children

A 26-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping into a water tank along with her three minor children in Sriganganagar district, police said today.

Saroj, a resident of Chak-6 BGS village, jumped into the tank at a nearby farm along with her two sons -- Arjun(4), Gaurav(6 months) and daughter Priyanka (two-and-a-half-year old) late last night, said Malkeet Singh, in-charge, Lalgarh Jatan police station.

The bodies were fished out in the morning, he said.

The incident took place after Saroj's husband had gone to a relative's house last night, he said, adding she was married for the last six years and was under stress due to domestic issues.
 

Further investigation in the case in underway.
