A young woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the well along with her child at Pachanady near here today, police said.
The deceased are Shruthi (24) and her son Pratheek (2). Shruthi's husband Ramesh Acharya hailing from Veeranagar has been taken into custody in connection with the incident, police said.
The couple had recently shifted to Shruthi's mother's house in Pachanady. Shruthi and her child went missing since yesterday morning, following which the family members filed a missing complaint. The bodies were found in the well this morning.
