Woman compere kills self over harassment by live-in partner

A 28-year-old woman compere allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence in Arilova area here apparently due to harassment by her live-in partner, police said today.

The deceased was identified as D Sujana who reportedly was in live-in relationship with Suresh Varma for past two years after her divorce.

She used to work as a compere for local stage shows.

According to police, Varma used to pick fight with Sujana suspecting her character following which she used to be depressed.

A case has been registered under section 174 of CrPC, said Arilova zone police station inspector Ch Dhanunjaya Naidu.
