Woman, daughter killed by husband

Hadu Mahakud was caught by villagers and handed over to the police while trying to flee after the alleged murders and arson at Bhagabanpur under Sorada police station, about 90 km from here, yesterday, they said.

Bodies of Sunita Mahakuda (25) and her daughter Smita were recovered from the house.

The accused, said to be a habitual drinker, used to beat up his wife regularly, the sources said.
