A woman was killed after being hit by a debris which had fallen from hill, an official said today.
The deceased, identified as Rekha Devi, was going to forest at Khunada village in Chamola district to rear her cattle yesterday when she came under the debris which had fallen from a road construction site in the hill, Disaster Management Officer of Chamola Nand Kishore said.
She died on the spot, he said.
Upon being informed, Rajsawa police rushed to the spot and they are investigating the matter, Kishore added.
