Woman dies in mishap

A woman died on the spot and nine

others were seriously injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling fell into a ditch in Assam's Dima Hasao district today, police said.

The speeding SUV in which the passengers were travelling from Haflong to Lanka skidded off the road and fell into a ditch near Lower Haflong under Haflong police station killing the woman on the spot.

The dead has been as 30-year old Subila Maibnagsa and the injured have been admitted to Haflong Civil Hospital.
