Woman dies in road accident

A 30-year-old woman was crushed to death by a speeding truck in Krishna Nagar area of northeast Delhi, police said today.

The incident took place almost a stone throw away from the residence of Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan in the area late last night.

The driver of the truck has been arrested, police said.

According to police, the body of woman is yet to be identified, however, it seems that she was the resident of a nearby area.

The body was found merely 500 meters away from Union Health minister's residence in the same area.

Eye witnesses said that the truck crushed victim to death around 11 pm last night.
 

The police suspects that the driver was heavily inebriated during the time of the accident and his blood samples will soon be sent for medical examination, an official said.
