A 22-year-old married woman died in a suspected instance of poisoning in an alleged case of dowry harassment here, police said.
According to police, the family members of the woman have complained that her in-laws used to torture her for dowry and that had driven her into committing suicide by consuming poison. The in-laws' family hails from Rohtak, police added.
The woman's father, a resident of Manoharpur village here, told police that his daughter was taken ill on August 10 after consuming poison and was admitted to PGI Rohtak where she died during treatment.
A case has been registered against the deceased woman's husband and three others from the in-laws' side, police added.
