Woman drowns in Reasi

A 40-year-old woman drowned as she slipped and fell into a stream in Raesi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

The incident took place when Saiyada, a resident of Malbari Thakrakote area here, had gone to collect fire wood from a nearby forest last evening, they said.

She accidently slipped into deep water, police said, adding her body was later fished out by locals.

The body was handed over to deceased's family and a case has been registered in this matte, they said.
