Woman falls from top apartment, dies

A woman in her 20s died after falling from the top floor of an apartment in Bhawanipore area, a police officer said today.

The incident happened late last night when Salu Agarwal, a Guwahati-resident somehow fell down from the top floor in one block of the apartment on Heysam Road under Bhowanipore Police Station area, he said.

"The lady was staying as a paying guest there. She was rushed to a nearby nursing home. And at around 2.30 am she succumbed to her injuries," he said.
