Woman falls prey to superstition

A woman, whose children accused some people of calling her 'witch', has been killed by unknown persons in Gumla district, the police said today.
The body, bearing stab signs, of fortyfive-year-old Bitni Devi at Birkera-tongritoli village under Raidih police station was recovered in the morning, the police said. It bore stabbings.
In their complaint to the police, the women's sons, Arjun and Bhairon, alleged that their mother was a victim of superstition as some called her 'witch' in the village, the police said.
