Woman fraudster arrested
The police today arrested a woman who allegedly cheated the ICICI bank of Rs 1.24 crore, Odisha police crime branch special D G B K Sharma said.
Sharma said that a case had been registered on the basis of an FIR filed by the ICICI Bank, Bhubaneswar.
The arrested woman, Swatirekha Parikshya, allegedly furnished false documents to secure a loan of Rs 1.24 crore, which the bank sanctioned.
A case was registered against the woman under various sections of the IPC, Sharma said adding that the Economic Offences Wing of the Odisha police was investigating into the case.
