Woman, girl drowned in water reservoir

A 20-year-old married woman and her niece drowned today when they slipped into a water reservoir at Panward village in Tonk district, police said.

The incident occurred at around 11:00 hours when the duo were taking bath, they said.

The deceased were identified as Malan and Nirjala (10), the police said.

The bodies were recovered and sent for postmortem, they said.
