Woman goes missing

A 52-year-old woman has gone missing

from Defence Colony here, police said today.

On Wednesday, Nirmala Devi, wife of PWD Assistant Engineer S K Singh, left her house to go for shopping at a nearby market. When she did not return for a long time, her family members filed a missing complaint, a police spokesperson said.

The woman's son Pulkit, who is an officer in the Army, said that following his sister's marriage, some of their relatives were staying with Nirmala, from whom he received information about her disappearance.

A search operation has been launched to trace the missing woman, he said.
