Woman killed by father

In a suspected case of honour

killing, a woman was allegedly shot dead and her husband injured by her father and his aides in Aligarh district today, police said here.

Arti Chauhan (25) and her husband Purushottam Sharma (42) were shot by her father Kaushal Kishore and his aides in Akbarabad area this morning, they said.

While Arti died on the spot, Sharma has been admitted to hospital, a police officer said, adding no arrest has been made in the case so far.

Police sources said Arti had married Sharma around one-and-a-half years ago against the wishes of her family members.
