Woman killed by in-laws over dowry

A 26-year-old woman was killed allegedly by her in-laws for dowry in the Sikanderpur area here, police said today.

A complaint in this regard was lodged by Sharfuddin, brother of victim Jahrunisha, they said.

In his complaint, Sharfuddin said that Jahrunisha was strangulated by her in-laws for dowry at Milki locality in the Sikanderpur area here yesterday, they said.

Jaharunisha's sister-in-law Saleh Khatoon, brother-in-law Rafiullah and father-in-law Nasrullah have been arrested, police said.
