A 38-year-old woman was killed today and her teenage daughter injured when a bus hit them in Baraula village here, prompting locals to block the road for a few hours, police said.
Sonam died on the spot, while her 15-year-old daughter sustained injuries when the bus collided with a canter and the driver lost control, hitting the two pedestrians, police said.
Irate locals blocked the Noida-Dadri road and police was forced to divert traffic to other routes.
Later, on assurance by senior police officers, the road block was lifted.
Both the vehicle drivers fled from the accident site, leaving the vehicles at the spot, police said, adding that a manhunt has been launched to arrest the errant drivers.
